Appointment of Cost Auditors is mandatory as per MCA Notifications Dated 02th May 2011, 30^th June 2011 & 24^th Jan 2012.

Now, There  is an additional Fee in case of delay e-file Form 23C for Appointment of Cost Audtior

The Company is required to e-file Form 23C for the appointment of Cost Auditor with the Central Government within 90day from the date of commencement of each financial year, along with the prescribed fee as per the Companies (fees on Application) Rules, 1999 as amended from time to time.

As Per MCA Notification dated 07^th August, 2012.

In case of delays in e-filing Form 23C for Appointment of Cost Auditor with the Central Government under section (2) of section 233B of the said Act, the fee as specified in the below shall be applicable:-

Period of Delay Fee Payable with the Application

Up to 30 days	Two times of normal fee
More than 30 days and up to 60 days	Four times of normal fee
More than 60 days and up to 90 days	Six times of normal fee
More than 90 days	Nine times of normal fee
